Exhibition openings this weekend at two local galleries feature work by two adjunct faculty members in the Department of Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media.
A one-person exhibition, entitled “in a blue time,” features work by Justin Baker and opens Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Lake George Arts Project’s Courthouse Gallery, 1 Amherst St., Lake George. All are welcome to attend an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m.; admission is free.
Baker teaches Digital Imaging, Graphic Design and Web Art & Design at Hudson Valley Community College. Please click here for more information about his career and this exhibition, which closes Feb. 21.

Work by Richard Garrison, who currently teaches Two-Dimensional Design at Hudson Valley, can be found in “Patterns of Engagement,” a group exhibition on view through March 2 in the third-floor Gallery at the Albany International Airport. A free, public reception is Friday, Jan. 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (Parking is free for 30 minutes and $2/hour thereafter.)
Garrison’s work is discussed in a review published in the Times Union. More information is available at the Gallery website.
